High Performance Training Centre
The High Performance Centre is the focal point of the complex featuring a 4,000 square foot strength and conditioning gym, a 5,000 square foot gymnastics hall, recovery and regeneration rooms, change rooms with shower facilities, a testing room, rental offices and a 1300 sq. ft. multi purpose room. The building is fully accessible, including features such as accessible washrooms/showers and an elevator enabling access to the 2nd floor.

Canadian Sport Institute
The Canadian Sport Institute is a world class Olympic and Paralympic training environment. Through the support of national and provincial partners, their team of sport scientists and medical experts provide programs and services to athletes and coaches to ensure they have every advantage to win medals for Canada.
The Whistler Athletes' Centre is a proud partner of the Canadian Sport Institute and is home to their High Performance Training Centre.
The following athletes and teams can access the strength and conditioning gym for no charge:
- Sport Canada nationally carded athletes from across Canada
- National Teams (targeted summer and winter sports) from across Canada for training camps and/or competitions
- Provincially identified athletes (as per PSO eligibility criteria)
There is no public access to the gym. Visiting Athletes who are eligible to access the facility (per the criteria above) should contact James Boose in advance, to receive a brief orientation to the facility.
Canadian Sport Institute also works with international teams/athletes who are visiting Whistler for training camps or competitions. All team training camp gym access inquires are to be directed to Leslie Clarke, Manager of Winter Sport.
In addition to the strength and conditioning gym, Canadian Sport Institute also operates a human performance testing lab and a recovery/regeneration room at the Whistler Athletes’ Centre.
OROS, Whistler Gymnastics Centre
The gymnastics hall is operated by Oros, the Whistler Gymnastics Centre. Oros is a not-for-profit society that focuses on community and access programs and will also rent the hall out to external sport groups wishing to use the space for training purposes.
Whistler Adaptive Sports Program
The HPC is also the headquarters of the Whistler Adaptive Sports Program, a not-for-profit society, that provides year-around recreational programs for people of all ages with disabilities. WASP is the centre for learning and sports excellence that has a local, regional, national and international clientele and encourages independence, self-confidence and self-motivation for all athletes and participants through outdoor recreation.
