What is the cheapest accommodation option at the Whistler Athletes’ Centre?

We offer rooms in different configurations for all needs and budgets. The most affordable option is our moderate single or queen room type with shared bathrooms, comfortable and ideal for budget-conscious travelers. All guests have access to our well-equipped and spacious shared kitchen and our common rooms.

Is the Whistler Athletes’ Centre open to non-athletes or the general public?

Yes, while originally designed for the Olympic athletes of the 2010 Games, we now welcome anyone to stay with us, year-round! We offer affordable accommodation to individuals & families, as well as athletes, sport teams and community groups who want to stay, play, train and explore sport, arts & culture in Whistler.. Our Lodge is one of the best-value options in Whistler.

Are there private room options?

Yes, while many of our rooms have shared bathrooms, we also offer affordable private rooms and suites with their own bathrooms. While these cost a bit more than the shared rooms, they remain competitive compared to typical hotels in Whistler.

What part of Whistler should I stay in for affordable accommodation?

Cheaper options are generally found:

  • In Cheakamus Crossing, where the Whistler Athletes’ Centre Lodge is located — a peaceful, modern neighborhood 10 minutes from the Village
  • South of the Village, where transit connections are strong and rates are lower

Shuttle Public transit buses run frequently between Cheakamus and Whistler Village.

Is the Whistler Athletes’ Centre accessible by public transit?

Yes, BC Transit buses run frequently from Cheakamus Crossing to Whistler Village and back. Bus #10 and #20 are most commonly used.

Are there kitchen facilities at the Athletes’ Centre Lodge?

Yes, a well-equipped and spacious shared kitchen is available, allowing guests to cook and save money on meals — a big bonus for budget-conscious travelers.
