Kitchen usage & standards

The Lodge kitchen, located on the 1st floor, is for exclusive use of guests staying at the Whistler Athletes’ Centre. This space offers both catering and self-cooking options with limited food storage during your stay. Our in-house catering will take precedence as we create daily access schedules. Due to the limited size of the kitchen, we may require guests to include the catering option during their stay as individual cooking will not be an option.

The kitchen is well stocked with small wares, pots/pans and food prep items, commercial grade gas stoves and a commercial grade dishwasher for quick and easy cleaning.

Please help keep the kitchen clean after use. Any cooking surfaces, countertops or dishes used, are the responsibility of the guest for cleaning and should be returned to their original space. Any negligent issues requiring additional cleaning by WAC staff following kitchen use will be charged back to the guests responsible.

Prepared food, dishes and all cookware are to remain in the kitchen and dining areas. It is not permitted to bring food and dishes up to your room. Guest abuse of this policy will be charged accordingly.

Keeping Rooms Cool in Summer

With summer in full swing in Whistler, here are some tips on how to keep your room cool during your stay:

  • Before going out for the day, ensure that your window is closed, and blinds have been pulled down
  • Turn the air temperature to the lowest setting so that when you return your room will be cool
  • Once the sun starts to set, open all windows to allow circulation and fresh air into the rooms

Booking activities

If you are interested in booking any activities during your stay, visit our Guest Services team to help you find the perfect activity.

Be Bear Aware

You are now in bear country! Whistler is home to approximately 100 black bears. Bear sightings are rare in this neighborhood, but bears are active in the spring and fall. If you see a bear, please keep your distance, and do not feed the bears. Food items should be removed from your vehicle and brought inside the Lodge.

If you want to learn more about bears, the Get Bear Smart Society is a reliable source. Notify the front desk (phone 604-964-0052) if you have concerns about wildlife/bears at the venue.
